Breakfast
Wife cooked breakfast for our son and then decided I could have some eggs and bacon too, only after hearing protest for me. Feels kinda like the son gets steak and the father gets macaroni with no chess. Im so loved!
I need it Now!
I love it when I can report that its sunny and wonderful in my world. But to day is not that day. I need some coffee, a heating pad and some pain pills. This is what happens when I sleep to long in my bed. But things will get better and I will recover.

Another Day
Snow and ice are falling and the sky is dark and gray. These are the things that most people are fed up with on this cold February night. But take heart! Just a few more months and the sun will be shining and we will feel the warmth of the sun on our faces. But until then their is a smile on my face because my wife just brought home a hot pizza.

Working on a Podcast
While driving down the road I was wondering if it was worth my time to make another podcast. Talking about family and life in general seems to be not at the top of the list for podcast popularity. I dont blame people for that, I can not even get my own family to hear my podcast. lol Maybe its time to retire from podcasting and only blog about the good old days.

End of a good day
Everyone was home for the day, that was great for a Monday. Now the daughter was sick and I was in a little pain because of the dentist, plus the wife hit her head on the table and gave herself a big bump on her head. But no one died this Monday so it was a good day.
Mondays with the DDS
Last two Mondays in a row I have had to get some work done on my teeth. First there was a teeth cleaning and today I get a filling replaced. Now I'm not complaining but why can I not have the work done all in one day, that way depression will only set in once and not twice. Is this to much to ask for?
Will I need a doctor?
My whole family is involved in the public school system. ( Germ Capital USA ) All of them are there five days a week, so as you can guess there are many germs coming home with the family. I just hate these little critters that like to jump on you and make you miserable. Well over the weekend my daughter has become sick and now I think Im trying to become sick. Its the beginning of the Domino effect for us and nobody is safe.

Valentines Day
Getting to enjoy the day with my honey. This morning we got to hug for a while and now the wife and kids are helping at making the morning meal. I love it when the family can sit down at the kitchen table and talk for a while, its the best part of the day. Communication is a beautiful thing!
St Valentine's Day was supposedly started in the time of the Roman Empire. In Ancient Rome, the date of February 14 was a holiday to honor the Queen of Roman Goddesses and Gods, Juno. Juno was known as the Goddess of women and marriage. The next day February 15 was the first day of the Festival known as the Feast of Lupercia.
On February 14 is was said that the young boys and girls of the villages would write down the names of every girl and place these names in a jar of which each young man would have to draw a name of a girl and this particular maiden would be their partner for the duration of the festival. Sometimes these parings would last a year and end up in marriage.
These rituals under the laws of Claudius were banned as the Emperor believed that the reasons why men would now go to war were because they did not want to leave their lovers or families. As a result all marriages and engagements were canceled as a result Saint Valentine a Roman priest was said to have married these couples in secret and for this he was executed on the 14th day of February.
While St Valentine was in jail it is said that he fell in love with the jailers’ daughter. By a miracle or some say by the prayers of Valentine she gained her sight and as a last farewell in a note he was to "From Your Valentine".
Another story as to the origins of Valentine's Day was that he was a priest who was also a physician and would cure the sick. He was also said to have tried to cure the jailers blind daughter, but, was arrested and on the day of his execution he wrote a note as a final farewell saying "From your Valentine" which some say is what caused her to gain her sight.
It is also said whilst he was in jail awaiting execution that he was sent little notes and flowers from the children whom he had helped when they were sick. This also may have been one of the reasons why he sent a farewell note to the jailers’ daughter and why we send valentines.
St Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14 of each year; the reason why it is celebrated on this day is because this was the day that the Patron Saint of Lovers "St Valentine" was supposedly executed on. On this day lovers all around the world mark this occasion as a day for sending poems, cards, flowers or candy, etc. They might also be a social gathering or ball to mark the occasion.

The Plunger
Love being with the family but there is also a down side. The wife loves to go out and visit every cool store in town. Its just her thing to do on the weekends. I realy dont mind but I to would like to visit one store. Its called the hardware store so I can buy a new plunger. I feel its important to be able to take a healthy dump and not fear that the toilet will plug up. This is my worry for the day untill I can buy the anticlogging tool of choice.
Weekend is here
I am so greatful that the weekend is here. To much driving, so many meetings and way to many deliverys. So now its time to relax and spend time with the family. Eat some good food. Sleep in my own bed. Get a few kisses and hugs from the wife.

End of another day
Its been a good day for me. Got to spend some time with the family and later on my son and I watched the Super Bowl. Last time I watched a football game was back in 1978 so my son had to fill me in on all the rules. He did a good job too. But now the family is in bed sleeping, getting their rest for a long day of work and school. God bless their hearts for trying so hard to get the education they need to make a better life down the road. Im very proud of my family and what they have accomplished over the last few years. Even my wife at age 48 has gone back to school working on getting a degree in child development while working full time for the school district. Thats not easy to do while being a mother, wife and worker!

Bad new from work
Today I found out the company is going to cut my route in Nebraska to one trip a week. The rest of the time will be spent running local if there is any work to be done. The company has already sent letters out to the customers telling them of the company's plan. I believe this will be the straw that brakes the camels back and the customers will find cheaper and faster ways to get their freight. We have many competitors in that area that will accommodate the customers wishes. I think my boss and dispatcher have just cut my throat and they are now waiting to see the blood flow out of my jugular vein. Funny thing! The reason we have lost so many customer in Nebraska is because they kept screwing with the customers in the first place. I didn't cause the problem but I will be the one to pay for the poor management my company has displayed over the last two years.

As you know I started to host my podcast on Pod Bean. It seemed to work well but I kept having problems with uploading my podcast. I think that if Im going to pay someone to host my podcast, they better make it easy to get my stuff uploaded. I have canceled the Pod Bean account and once again Im looking around for a good company with great services to host my podcast.

Ground Hog Day
I just found out that our winter is going to be very long. Damn ground hog has to die a horrible death by fire. Just as long as that fury critter can't predict the weather anymore I will be happy.
