Pork better for sex than Viagra?

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) – Argentina's president recommended pork as an alternative to Viagra Wednesday, saying she spent a satisfying weekend with her husband after eating barbecued pork.
"I've just been told something I didn't know; that eating pork improves your sex life ... I'd say it's a lot nicer to eat a bit of grilled pork than take Viagra," President Cristina Fernandez said to leaders of the pig farming industry.
She said she recently ate pork and "things went very well that weekend, so it could well be true."
Argentines are the world's biggest per capita consumers of beef, but the government has sought to promote pork as an alternative in recent years due to rising steak prices and as a way to diversify the meat industry.
"Trying it doesn't cost anything, so let's give it a go," Fernandez said in the televised speech.

What the Hell

I was told to come up north to train drivers and instead I find myself making deliveries. The boss tells me that I must get the training done but now I'm doomed for failure. I will go back empty handed with no training hours to show for. What will I do? I know! Charge a expensive dinner to my boss for a job well done.

Make up your minds?

Oklahoma lawmaker pursues split speeds on turnpikes

With the memory of a deadly wreck involving a tractor-trailer last summer still fresh in his mind, an Oklahoma lawmaker is looking to slow large trucks by 10 mph along turnpikes in the state.
Sen. Earl Garrison, D-Muskogee, has prefiled a bill for consideration during the upcoming regular session. It would reduce the speed limit for big rigs on the Sooner State’s 10 turnpikes from 75 mph to 65 mph. All other vehicles would be allowed to continue to drive along at the current speed limit.
Garrison wrote the bill in response to an incident along the Will Rogers Turnpike. The wreck in June 2009 killed 10 people after a tractor-trailer struck six vehicles stopped because of an earlier wreck.
Oklahoma law now leaves decisions on turnpike speeds up to the Department of Public Safety. The Turnpike Authority first must recommend any change to speeds, and the DPS is required to sign off on it.
Opponents say that requiring trucks to drive at speeds slower than other vehicles does not promote safety on roads. They say it does exactly the opposite by requiring vehicles to be constantly in conflict with each other.

Committee OKs Newman bill for 70 mph speed limit

RICHMOND - A Senate committee approved a bill to raise the speed limit to 70 mph on some highways Thursday, and rejected a proposal to keep the limit at 65 mph for tractor-trailer rigs.
Sen. Steve Newman, R-Lynchburg, sponsored the bill (SB537) to set the 70 mph limit for all vehicles on roads where engineers deemed it safe. Gov. Bob McDonnell promised during his campaign to raise speed limits to 70 mph.
But at the trucking industry’s request, Newman said, he offered to amend his measure and keep trucks at the current 65 mph. Many trucks now are equipped with governors that limit their speeds to 65, Newman said industry representatives told him.
The proposed amendment got zero support from Senate Transportation Committee members, including Newman himself. “The industry would like it; it is before the committee; it is not part of my bill,“ Newman said.
Trucking-industry lobbyists did not comment during Newman’s presentation.
The amendment died when no one offered a motion to accept it.
“One of the most dangerous circumstances you can develop on an interstate highway system is bifurcated speed limits,“ Sen. John Watkins, R-Midlothian, said. “I think we would be in a safer position to stick to one speed limit and let the bill rise or fall.“
Sen. Creigh Deeds, D-Bath County, voted against the bill, saying he worried about its effect on Interstate 81.
“I thought it was already about 85 mph for trucks,“ Deeds said, to chuckles from other committee members.
Newman joined in, saying “I’d like to have a list of those trucks governed at 65.“
The same bill is pending in the House of Delegates, where it is sponsored by Del. Charles W. Carrico, R-Galax.

The Weekend

I don't know how the real truckers do it. They spend weeks out on the road not realy getting a brake from work. I spend four days on the road and I'm ready to kill something or someone. I tip my hat to the real American trucker.

Wheres the gun?

I'm so sick of this fog and ice. One trucker told me that it was 74 degrees in south Texas. Maybe its time to relocate to a more favorable location.
Well I did make it back to the yard but 10000 pounds of carpet came back with me. It seems the dispatcher didn't call the customers to make appointments so I was not allowed to unload. That happens all the time because the dispatcher could care less and the boss won't do anything about it. Maybe when I get my next boss he or she will care about things like this. I'm not going to hope too much, this is my 26th boss. I'm not kidding either.

What the hell!

Route changes, trailers not loaded and drivers waiting for loads that will not come. This is what my company calls a well organized day. Why? Because everyone in the office has no idea what they are doing or in other words they are a bunch of dumb asses. lol Well at least I have something to do today.

Not in the Mood

Seems like today is an off day for me. Need to get my job done but I just don't feel like driving. Should work on my podcast but I have nothing to say. Want to see my wife but she won't be home till late tonight. Company will send me out again but I rather take the day off. I need to see some sun. All this cloudy weather is getting me down.

A Lucky Man

Not to bad of a day if I say so myself. Got to drive a big truck, make deliveries, meet new people and see old customers. Staying in a nice hotel and I had a good dinner. What more could I ask for?
Talked to a waitress and she was working three jobs just to survive. She was trying to figure out how she could work more hours and function with less sleep. I would guess that she was no older then my daughter and she looked very tired. She would get old before her time.
I'm very lucky for what I have been blessed with, given by God or by good luck I feel I don't need to ask for more.

Christian Jackass

I had written a posting about how I should not drink any more Vodka before bedtime and I get someone who thinks I should turn from my wicked ways and follow Christ. This gentleman has no clue who I am or the lifestyle I lead. He jumps to conclusions based on his belief in a flawed bible and not the merits of the person he is accusing. Jackasses like him drive me crazy. The judgment he declares upon me is insulting. I have no time for people who are this stupid. Jackasses be warned, I will not put up with your shit!

Vodka does the body good?

I don't think I will be drinking this stuff any more. Had a glass of it last night before bed and all I had were nightmares. My life is hard enough without worrying about what hellish things are going to visit me in my dreams in the middle of the night. They say that having a drink a day is good for the body and that might be true with a glass of wine or beer but not Vodka. The drink from Hell.

The Green Van

Some people just have to much time on their hands. This customer decided that it would be cheaper to install bumper to bumper out door capet on the outside of his van rather then paint it.
